Audemars Piguet Ambassador Henrik Stenson Wins the BMW International Open

Henrik Stenson consolidated his place as the best-ranked Audemars Piguet Golf Ambassador worldwide, with a victory at the BMW International Open in Germany. On Sunday June 26, he had to complete 36 holes due to a flooded course on Saturday. He once again lived up to his nickname “Iceman” when he managed to plough through three bogeys in five holes without letting it affect his grit to keep the lead during his final round and finally win the title.

This is his 17th victory worldwide and the second time he has won this particular tournament since 2006. Henrik had several great results since the start of the 2016 season (second in Houston and in South Africa, third in Orlando and in Abu Dhabi, fourth in Sweden, sixth in Dubai) and a total of eight runner-up finishes since he last won a tournament in Dubai in November 2014. He has now reached the fifth place in the world.

When lifting the trophy, Henrik sported a Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph specially made for the Audemars Piguet Golf Dream Team. Recognizable with its icy blue strap, it has a white ceramic case with blue ceramic pushers and crown. It is the first time Audemars Piguet uses colored ceramic outside white and black.

Henrik Stenson leads the Audemars Piguet Dream Team of golf ambassadors composed of Byeong Hun An, Keegan Bradley, Darren Clarke, Victor Dubuisson, Emiliano Grillo, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Renato Paratore, Ian Poulter, Henrik Stenson, Peter Uihlein, Lee Westwood, Bernd Wiesberger and Danny Willett. Through their continued hard work and dedication, they embody Audemars Piguet’s brand philosophy “To break the rules, you must first master them.”
