2016 Wimbledon champion, Serena Williams |
Serena managed to secure
her 7th victory in London, which is her highest number of wins for a specific
major tournament. This becomes her 22nd title in a Grand Slam tournament, which
allows her to equal Steffi Graff’s open-era record. Serena also won the Ladies’
Doubles with her sister Venus just a few hours later. She will go on to defend
her gold medals in Rio before attempting to break the record in New York next
month.
Audemars Piguet’s brand philosophy - “To break the rules, you
must first master them” - perfectly embodies Serena’s quest and her unrelenting
drive and passion during her impressive career. The brand now celebrates this
spirit and shows its support in a new campaign launched on social media
worldwide.
