Serena Williams breezed through her grass-court campaign in London to defend the crown she won last year in a thrilling Ladies’ Singles Final match on Saturday July 9th, against German player Angélique Kerber who had beaten her in the Melbourne Final last January.

Serena managed to secure her 7th victory in London, which is her highest number of wins for a specific major tournament. This becomes her 22nd title in a Grand Slam tournament, which allows her to equal Steffi Graff’s open-era record. Serena also won the Ladies’ Doubles with her sister Venus just a few hours later. She will go on to defend her gold medals in Rio before attempting to break the record in New York next month.

Audemars Piguet’s brand philosophy - “To break the rules, you must first master them” - perfectly embodies Serena’s quest and her unrelenting drive and passion during her impressive career. The brand now celebrates this spirit and shows its support in a new campaign launched on social media worldwide.
