The Swiss Alp Watch by H. Moser, a new partner brand with the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie. |
H. Moser & Cie. is honored to be named a partner brand
of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, reinforcing this support since being
identified as a perimeter brand in the White Paper issued by this foundation.
On October 1, 2016, the company joined other prestigious names working
to promote and champion haute horlogerie around the world.

In January 2016, H. Moser & Cie. made its début at the
famous Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) watchmaking trade
show, along with eight other independent creative workshops. A few months
later, the foundation published a white paper on fine watchmaking, defining the
principles for maisons included within the haute horlogerie perimeter. H. Moser
& Cie. was included, providing admirable recognition and a vote of
confidence for the small Schaffhausen-based manufacture.
“For a company like ours, which produces 1,200 watches a
year, this is confirmation that our work and our creativity have been recognized
and that we are on the right track. It is rather like receiving a patent of
nobility,” said Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie.
Below are the highlights as this impressive journey
continues: H. Moser & Cie. joins the foundation as the 28th partner brand
to promote the culture and values of haute horlogerie.

A manufacture in its own right, H. Moser & Cie. designs,
develops and produces its own watch movements and regulating organs in-house,
together with its sister company, Precision Engineering AG. Renowned for the
elegance and refinement of its timepieces, and for their beautiful finishing,
H. Moser & Cie. has eight manufacture calibers. In 2012, as MELB Holding
took the helm at H. Moser & Cie., they brought a breath of fresh air to the
company, which is now clearly positioned as an innovative, key player on the
new watchmaking scene. Under the leadership of Edouard Meylan and his team, H. Moser
creations have benefited from a modern touch and have been revitalized with an
air of boldness and distinction, while still staying true to the brand DNA of
the manufacture.
Breaking with convention, H. Moser & Cie. recently caused
a stir with the launch of the Swiss Alp Watch, insisting on the need to focus
on traditional watchmaking amid the debate on smart watches. The company has
also become known for its series of Concept watches, with no visible logo or
index, proving that true luxury is unmistakable. H. Moser & Cie. is committed
as an ambassador with great potential on receiving this recognition as a
partner brand from the foundation.
