Vacheron Constantin, the world’s oldest haute horlogerie manufacturer
with over 260 years of uninterrupted history, celebrates the worldwide launch
of its new Overseas timepiece collection with an incredible event on The High
Line in New York City.
In homage to the vibrant Overseas collection, Vacheron
Constantin hosted a stunning evening for over 200 clients, VIPs and press from
around the world in May. The Overseas collection was unveiled on the elevated
and historic New York City landmark, The High Line, above spectacular views of
Manhattan.
The location provided a sky-high exploration of Vacheron
Constantin’s Overseas Tour photo partnership with legendary photographer Steve
McCurry. It provided guests with an exhibition of the first six locations from
the artist’s journey, including images from his work in New York, Mexico,
China, India, Japan, and the Vacheron Constantin Manufacture in Geneva.
Guests were thrilled to be among the privileged few to
preview the new Overseas World Time watches and experience the new Overseas
interchangeable watch strap system. A series of innovative virtual reality
stations and watch booths crafted to mimic traveling luggage cases provided the
ultimate interactive opportunities.
A special musical performance by Grammy award-winning band,
A Great Big World, capped off the evening against breathtaking views of New
York’s Hudson River. It was truly an unforgettable event to herald Vacheron
Constantin’s new Overseas timepiece collection.
To mark the worldwide launch of its new Overseas timepiece
collection, a dedicated website has been unveiled. It provides a chance to
explore the collection's distinctive travel-themed universe. Through photo galleries,
360° videos including a “making of” video, you will discover the exceptional
Overseas Tour locations, captured by the legendary photographer Steve McCurry.
The entire set of models and their distinctive technical features are also
presented through specific videos and sections.
